The Heathfield Silver Band is a friendly village band that’s been in existence since 1888, we enjoy performing at a variety of local & regional events. We can be seen at many of the Carnival processions that take place across our region including the infamous Lewes bonfire celebrations on November 5th.
We have our own band room and rehearse on Tuesday evenings between 7.30pm & 9.30pm. We also have our training band that rehearses between 6.30 & 7.15 on Tuesday evenings.
We always welcome new members of any age and ability. Anyone interested in joining the band should contact us through our contact page or feel free to talk to any of our members at our engagements.
Our address is:
The Band Room, Alexandra Road, Heathfield. Sussex TN21 8EA.
First World War weekend
The Heathfield Silver band had a full weekend at Bateman’s WW1 event.
The bands repertoire of WW1 music helped to transport the audience back to a time that has faded from living memory, but with events such as this will never be forgotten.
After watching a re-enactment of an attack on the German lines by British forces, the band heard the call and joined the soldiers to play Its a long way to Tipperary as they marched off to war.
